Jeffrey S. Robin '70
William Morris Agency
Robin never takes his job too seriously, because as he puts it, he isn't splicing the atom. Nevertheless, as the world wide head of business affairs and senior vice president of the William Morris Agency, the world's oldest and largest talent and literary agency, Robin faces considerable challenges every day of his starlit career.
He handles his significant responsibilities with casual, yet professional, ease because he has been well prepared for the job; Robin spent two years at Capitol Records, two years at Paramount Pictures, in television, and then eight years as a partner in the entertainment department of Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger.
In 1984, Robin moved to the William Morris Agency, the venerable summit of the entertainment industry. In his present position, Robin negotiates blockbuster motion picture contracts for actors, writers, directors and producers.
A rare car collector and all-around likeable guy, Robin navigates his life like a true Hollywood insider. But first and foremost, Robin always stays cool and maintains perspective when brokering multi-million dollar deals by trying to enjoy the fresh air from his place atop the entertainment epicenter.
